ISDN Services
What is ISDN? Technically, it stands for Integrated Services Digital Network. Confused? Basically, it's a proven method of linking up two - or more - studios via a pure digital connection, all in real time. This isn't an internet phone, this is a proven technology that allows studio-quality real-time transmission from microphone to remote recorder. And both studios can hear the same high-quality signal at the same time.

Who would use ISDN?

  • Anybody wanting to direct a voice-over or music session without having to resort to a tinny-sounding telephone that can't reproduce the subtleties of a performance.
  • Someone that needs real-time transmission of CD-quality material. This is faster than uploading to the internet, and definitely faster than overnight delivery.
  • Broadcast outlets that need real-time transmission. We have done many ISDN sessions for radio talk shows that utilize talent in Lexington.
  • Studios that need to direct ADR (automated dialogue replacement) sessions. We have done several real-time ADR session via ISDN where the talent (in our studios) performs new dialogue to video, while the director (at a remote studio) listens, directs, and watches the same video.
